A trek visiting the most emblematic and spectacular locations in the Picos de Europa mountains, enjoying every comfort, including hotel accommodations, luggage transfer, exquisite cuisine, relaxation in the finest spas, and visits to essential sites for understanding this spectacular region, such as the Cabrales and Gamoneu cheese dairies. An exclusive and comprehensive experience, walking with just a small backpack to savor every step.
For six days, we will explore the three impressive massifs of the Picos de Europa National Park., and the beautiful Eastern Coast of Asturias, Discovering some of the most emblematic and beautiful places in this paradise.
Trekking Itinerary
Airport reception and transfer to Buelna. We will begin this magnificent trek in the coastal village of Buelna, in Asturias. Typical of this area are... mansions of the Indianos, large villas, generally with palm trees and of a similar architecture touAlthough elegant, they were built by emigrants who made their fortunes in the Americas. Our tour will be a section of the Camino de Santiago in its northern variant, which runs parallel to the Cantabrian Coast. We will visit the CCobijeru karst complex passing through las beautiful beaches of Buelna and Pendueles, up to the jesters of Arenillas. We will continue until Andrín, to enjoy dThe viewpoint overlooks the beaches of Andrín, La Ballota, and the Sierra del Cuera mountain range, which will always be on our left. The landscape we will be walking through is a karst landscape, very similar, with some differences, to the one we will encounter in the following days in the Picos de Europa National Park, since it is the same plate limestone. We will travel in our vehicle towards Toró Beach, in Llanes, where we can enjoy a relaxing and refreshing swim. Afterwards, we will transfer to our hotel near the Picos de Europa mountains, where we will enjoy a magnificent dinner and spend our first night..

After a good breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the surroundings of the Lakes of Covadonga, where we will take a beautiful circular route through a glacial environment with unparalleled ethnographic and scenic value. We will pass by mountain pastures, glacial lakes, beech forests, and visit a shepherd's flock where they will show us their way of life, the process of making the Gamoneu cheese from the port, The ancestral and original way of making this delicacy involves visiting an aging cave and, of course, enjoying a food tasting at the same mountain pasture. Afterwards, we will go to our hotel, where we will enjoy a wonderful dinner and spend our third night.

Ethnographic and gastronomic day, combined with exercises in Yoga taught by a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, and dedicated almost exclusively to one of the most special and exclusive cheeses of Asturias, although not yet very well known, the Gamoneu Cheese. Made with three kinds of milk and smoked before aging in a cave, this cheese is an exquisite and handcrafted delicacy, steeped in history and a deep love for this land. To begin the day, we will have a yoga session before breakfast. Afterwards, We will visit a cheese factory, where they will explain the production process, from showing us the animals from which the milk is obtained, to the smoking process before it is moved to the aging cave. Then, we will carry out a beautiful route through the ports where animals and shepherds have coexisted for thousands of years, shaping the landscape through which we walk. We'll have lunch and head to a recreational area with spectacular views, where we'll have our last yoga session. Before returning to our hotel, we'll enjoy a thermal circuit in one of the best Spa of Peaks of Europe. Afterwards, we will head to our hotel, where we will enjoy a great dinner and spend our third night.

Day of travel to the Central and Eastern massifs. We will head towards Pots skirting the Picos de Europa, first through the Casaño valley to Arenas de Cabrales, then continuing through the Cares river gorge to Panes and up the Deva river through the spectacular La Hermida Gorge to Potes, the center of the beautiful region of La Liébana. After a stop for a short visit to this pretty town, we will continue up the Deva River to the Fuente Dé glacial cirque, where we will catch its spectacular cable car We'll ascend to one of the most spectacular areas of the Picos de Europa, enjoying the contrast between the limestone of the dramatic and rugged peaks of the Picos on one side, and the forests and rolling mountains of the Cantabrian Mountains on the other. We'll take a short hike in the La Vueltona area and then head towards our hotel., situated in a spectacular location at the foot of the impressive east wall of Old Rock.

Today we will walk along the stunning Duje River valley, which separates the Central and Eastern Massifs of the Picos de Europa. This is an ideal day to observe fauna, both wild and domestic, during the long but gentle descent that will lead us back towards Asturias, passing through the winter pastures of El Toro and later through the Sotres Winter Pastures, From there, a short climb will take us to our hotel in Sotres, a beautiful mountain village located in the Eastern Massif of the Picos de Europa, where We will be able to visit a Cabrales cheese factory, the cheese maturation cave and enjoy a tasting. We will spend our fifth night in the best hotel in Sotres, where we will enjoy a wonderful dinner.

On our last day, After breakfast at our hotel, we will take a route towards the Pandébano hill, to contemplate the majestic Picu Urriellu. DeFrom Pandébano, we will descend towards the beautiful and unique village of Bulnes, We will have lunch in the only mountain village in Asturias without roads. Afterwards, we will continue our descent through the Texu gorge, to get to Poncebos, A spectacular spot, the starting point of the famous Cares Route, to put the finishing touch on this fantastic adventure. Dinner at our hotel in Poncebos.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport or departure point.
