Circular Posets - Maladetas / Pirineos
In the Benasque Valley, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, are the two highest peaks in the Pyrenees: Aneto, at 3,404 meters, and Pico Posets, at 3,375 meters. Staying in the various refuges surrounding these mountains, we will embark on a fascinating circular trek within the spectacular Posets-Maladetas Natural Park., enjoying the great Pyrenean valleys, such as Estós and Ballibierna, where the GR11 runs, its beautiful peaks and ridges, lakes, ravines, flora, fauna, its pretty towns and its stories.
To top off this trek, we will climb the summit of Posets., overcoming a significant elevation gain, albeit with little technical difficulty. The views of the numerous peaks that exceed 3,000 meters will be more than worth the effort. A high-altitude trek in a magnificent setting.
For six days, we will tour this beautiful Aragonese Pyrenees Natural Park, stayingin their shelters and getting to know some of the wildest, most emblematic and beautiful places in these massifs.
Trekking Itinerary
From Benasque, capital of Ribagorza, we will head to the Ángel Orús refuge from an emblematic place such as the Benasque Mountain School, ascending the route of the three ravines, towards the Siso cabbage At about 2,200m near Tuca del Mont, where we can enjoy exceptional views of the Benasque Valley. We will descend past the destroyed Clot de Chill refuge towards the Eriste Valley to take the path that comes from Eriste at about 1,800m and make the last climb of the day, reaching the Ángel Orús Refuge (2,100m), where we will spend our first night after a demanding but spectacular first day.
Distance: 9 km. Elevation: +1,570 m -730 m
Day of promotion to the second summit of the Pyrenees with 3,375m, the Tuca de Posets or Punta Llardana.. From the refuge we will head to the Canal Fonda, to go up this to the base of the exceptional Llardana ToothFrom here we will only have to ascend the upper part of this great Mountain, an exceptional summit to enjoy its views and keep them in our memories. We will descend by the Fonda Channel to head to the Llardaneta lake and ascend to the La Forqueta Pass, at 1,900m, from where we will make a long descent that will take us to Viadós Refuge (1,700m), where we will spend our second night after a day to remember.

We leave the Viadós refuge, taking the historic GR11 towards the Chistau ravine, which we will follow to the base of Chistau Peak, at about 2,600 meters. At this pass, the beautiful Estós Valley begins, which we will descend between the peaks of Posets and Batisielles on our right and the Tucas d'O, Gorgs Bllancs, and Perdiguero on our left, until we reach the Estos Refuge (1,870 m)., where we will spend the third night of this magnificent trek.

Today we will walk all day along the mythical GR 11We continue descending this magnificent Valley of Estós, passing through the Turmo Cabin until the confluence with the Benasque Valley at Camping Aneto, where we will turn off towards the Senarta Plan to enter another beautiful valley such as Ballibierna, which we will walk in its entire length to the Llauset pass, passing through the Crown Cabin, the southern slope of Las Maladetas and the Aneto Peak among others. Once at the Col de Llauset, a small descent will leave us with the Cap de Llauset Refuge (2,420m), where we'll rest after a long but excellent stage. The location of the Refuge is worth the effort.
Distance: 25 km. Elevation: +1,680 m -1,290 m
Spectacular day with a great high mountain environment the one we have ahead. We leave the hospitable Cap de Llauset Refuge to head towards the spectacular and mythical Crest of Salenques-Storms, surrounding the lake of Cap de Llauset and ascending towards the Ibón Negro and the lake of La Cap de la Val, between which we will pass to head towards Salenques pass, at 2,820m on the legendary ridge that runs from Tuc de Molières to Aneto. From the Salenques pass we will make a long descent along the northern slope of the Aneto, enjoying its enormous blade and seeing the crest of the portillones up to the beautiful Plan de Aigualluts, from where we will ascend to the Renclusa pass. After a small descent we will reach the La Renclusa Refuge (2,150m) where we will enjoy a good dinner and spend the night.
Distance: 12 km. Elevation: +1,620 m -2,040 m
Last day of this magnificent trekking that we begin returning to the Aigualluts Plan to begin the descent of the Valley and contemplate the Aigualluts Foreshore before having a coffee at Besurta, and contemplating the northern slope of The Maladeta among many other peaks. We continued walking through the fantastic Benasque Valley passing through the Plan de Están, Llanos del Hospital and descending through the Baños de Benas to Senarta and reaching the starting and ending point of this trek, the beautiful town of Benasque and specifically the Benasque Mountain School, where we will enjoy dinner and conclude this magnificent trek, which we will bid farewell to with breakfast the following morning after a well-deserved rest.

To take into account
- At the shelters you can buy a picnic for each day, avoiding carrying heavy items.
- There are blankets in the shelters. A light sleeping bag or a sleeping bag sheet is sufficient.
- The route may be subject to changes depending on weather conditions, shelter availability, and/or other circumstances, always keeping the safety of the group in mind.
