ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP

Lasting a total of 12 days, we will live an experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives.,
Visiting one of the most beautiful countries in the world, nestled in the Himalayan mountain range, to do
One of the most spectacular treks you can do, visiting the Annapurna Cirque, one of
the most breathtaking places in the Himalayas, with views that are hard to beat towards the stunning
peaks Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m).
We will enjoy this trek starting and ending in Nayapul, near Pokhara, with its incredible
Landscapes, its beautiful villages and its overflowing spirituality, in an unparalleled landscape full of prayer flags, suspension bridges and superlative mountains that make every step a postcard.
For almost two weeks, we will live unique and exclusive experiences in this beautiful country that is Nepal and particularly in the wonderful mountain landscape of the Annapurna region.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a demanding route, but not too high in altitude compared to other treks, as we will reach 4,130 meters above sea level without needing to
acclimatize. The daily distances and elevation gains are not excessive, making this a trek to truly enjoy. At Annapurna Base Camp, we'll have an afternoon to savor this magnificent place and a morning to be dazzled by its incomparable sunrise. To conclude this trek, we'll enjoy a free afternoon in the beautiful city of Pokhara and the final afternoon in the ancient city of Kathmandu, before a wonderful farewell dinner.
Highlights of this trek include the Poon Hill viewpoint and the views of the mountain range.
From the Annapurna as well as the Daulaghiri group, witness the Annapurna Cirque from Base Camp, the Jhindu Danda hot springs, the terraced farming landscape and its contrast with the high mountains, the beautiful city of Pokhara and the local ways of life and culture.
A spectacular trek, living and enjoying unique experiences that we will never forget.
Trekking Itinerary
We'll meet at Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel, where we'll have our briefing and pack our backpacks. This day is ideal for buying any gear we might need for the trek, exchanging money for rupees (much better than in our home countries), etc. We'll be staying in Thamel, Kathmandu's main tourist and commercial district, so we'll have countless shops very close to the hotel. We'll need to keep our flight's arrival time in mind to allow time for any necessary purchases.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we went to the airport to catch our flight with
destination Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal, after Kathmandu,
And the atmosphere is much more tranquil. The views of the Annapurna Massif from the city are sublime. From Pokhara, we'll travel by road to Nayapul, a journey of about 40 km, which can take 2, 3, or 4 hours… this is Nepal! Once in Nayapul, it's time to meet the people who will be traveling with us throughout the trek: Sirdar (the local guide), porters, and so on.
After a quick lunch, we set off for Ulleri, a 11 km hike with 1,200 m of ascent and 200 m of descent, taking approximately 6 hours. The trail follows a track parallel to the Bhurungdi River. We then turn off towards Hille, where a stepped path begins. We'll pass through Tikhedhunga, crossing our first suspension bridge in Nepal, before beginning the final, steep climb to Ulleri, a beautiful village nestled on a hillside with views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Overnight stay in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 9 km. Elevation gain/loss: +930m -70m
Today's journey will involve walking through dense forests on a long ascent of about
8km, +980m, -200m and about 5 hours. We will encounter mule caravans transporting
goods and also with many hikers from different groups, with whom we can interact.
Once in Ghorepani, we can enjoy fantastic views of the Himalayas. The mountain scenery and wild nature from this location are truly breathtaking. We'll relax and rest up for tomorrow's hike to the excellent Poon Hill viewpoint. Overnight stay in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 8 km. Elevation gain/loss: +850m -70m
We'll wake up early to ascend, in about an hour, to the Poon Hill viewpoint and enjoy an incredible sunrise view with an unforgettable panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. We'll return to the Gorephani lodge for breakfast. After breakfast and the inevitable reminiscing about the sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill, our journey continues to Chuile. This is about a six-hour hike with continuous ascents and descents, but one of the most beautiful routes of the entire trek. Overnight stay in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 14 km. Elevation gain/loss: +880m -1,400m
This day is full of ups and downs, but always with excellent views towards the
mountains. lasting around six hours. We begin by ascending to the
We'll descend through a dense forest to Tadapani, crossing Deurali Pass. We'll pass through villages, over suspension bridges, and across cultivated fields until we reach the road that leads into the Modi Khola valley to access Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 11 km. Elevation gain/loss: +920m -900m
A day of "relaxation" before the ascent to Base Camp, lasting about seven hours.
A journey through beautiful forests of rhododendrons, oaks, and bamboo leads to the village of Dovan. The route is a steady but manageable climb, crossing the Modi Khola valley to Deurali. Today we won't have spectacular mountain views, with the exception of the beautiful and sacred Machapuchare (Fish Tail), but we will enjoy the forests, waterfalls, and the sounds of nature. Overnight in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 7 km. Elevation gain/loss: +900m -70m
Undoubtedly the most beautiful and exciting stage of this trek, reaching its highest point in the
The impressive and spectacular Annapurna Sanctuary is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking places in the Himalayas. It's a gentle, continuous ascent of about six hours, offering a dramatic change in landscape, transitioning from forest to the barren alpine terrain.
We'll pass by the old Machapuchare base camp and gradually discover the impressive peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, and finally Annapurna I, until we reach the base camp itself—a place that will forever remain etched in your memory. Accommodation in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 7 km. Elevation gain/loss: +1,000m -90m
We will enjoy one of the most exciting moments of the trek, the magical views of the sunrise
Above the Annapurna cirque, we watched the peaks and ridges change color with the first rays of the sun. After a well-deserved breakfast, and much to our regret, we left this fantastic place, which will leave us with unforgettable memories, to descend along the same path we had taken up.
Today we'll have a long descent of 16 km, with an elevation gain of 450 m and a loss of 2,250 m, taking about 7-8 hours. There will be some fairly steep sections downhill, so you'll need to concentrate and pay attention. Accommodation in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 15 km. Elevation gain/loss: +150m -1,800m
Today's journey is a return trip along the same route we took to ascend to base camp. We will pass through
From Chomrong, descend a path of fairly steep stone steps to Jhinu Danda, a journey of about 5 hours. From Chomrong, you can see the entire path and the village of Jhinu Danda at the bottom of the valley. Jhinu Danda is a perfect place to rest and relax in its famous hot springs. Accommodation in a lodge with full board.
Distance: 10 km. Elevation gain/loss: +500m -1000m
Return day to Nayapul, with approximately seven hours of trekking. In Nayapul, we'll have lunch and then take transport to Pokhara, where we'll have the entire afternoon free. Pokhara is a place to relax and escape the stress of Kathmandu. It's an oasis within Nepal and a visible example of the growth resulting from tourism investment. But few places can compare to Pokhara.
as to its privileged location and its wonderful landscapes.
In Pokhara, it's highly recommended to visit the Lakeside tourist district and enjoy tea on the shores of Phewa Lake, rent a canoe to sail on Phewa Lake, visit the World Peace Pagoda, Devi Falls, the floating temple of Varahi Mandir, a Tibetan refugee settlement, go paragliding, and absolutely must: enjoy the sunset from the spectacular Sarangkot viewpoint (a taxi will take you there in a short 11km journey). Accommodation in a hotel with breakfast.
Distance: 10 km. Elevation gain/loss: +500m -1000m
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll begin our bus transfer to Kathmandu. The journey covers approximately 200 km and will take between 5 and 7 hours, depending on flat tires and other unforeseen events that can happen in Nepal, haha. In the evening, we'll enjoy a farewell Nepalese cultural dinner featuring spectacular dances and delicious food, bringing this magnificent experience to a close.
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return international flight, thus concluding our services. It is advisable to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight's departure.
