EXTREME EASTERN RING OF PEAKS
CENTRAL AND EASTERN MASSIFS
WITH SUMMITS

On our first day of trekking, we will depart from the beautiful mountain village of Sotres (1,050m), in Asturias. We will descend to the winter pastures of Sotres, and from there, ascend the magnificent Duje River Valley, which separates the Central and Eastern massifs, until reaching the Invernales del Toro, where we turn off to tackle the climb up the Fresnedal Canal towards the base of Peña Castil, Our first objective of the day. Once at the Camburero Pass, the sunaWe still need to overcome the summit slope of Peña Castil, to reach its spectacular peak., at 2,444m, with spectacular views towards Picu Urriellu and the Central and Eastern Massifs. We will descend to head towards the La Celada gully and Enjoy the proximity of Picu Urriellu, to go around it and reach to the largest refuge in the Picos de Europa, the Reescape from Urriellu (1,960m) located at the base of the most emblematic summit of all those that make up the Picos de Europa National Park, the Picu Urriellu or Naranjo de Bulnes, And in its most spectacular part, its impressive West face, over 500 meters high, a true landmark of Spanish mountaineering. An unforgettable place, both for its beauty and its symbolic significance, and perfect for spending our first night after a well-deserved dinner.

We will head towards the Corona del Raso, a necessary passage towards Cabrones, the most remote and spectacular sector of the Picos, to enter the Jou de Cerredo, base of the highest mountain in the Picos and the entire Cantabrian Mountains, Torrecerredo, from where we will ascend to the Coelho's Tower, a 2.584From here we will head to the Horcada de don Carlos and then to the Horcada de Caín to enter the immensity of the Jou Grande and head to the Collado de La Palanca, from where we will start to make the ascent of this great Mountain of 2.616m, The Lever. From its summit, we will descend to the Collado Jermoso refuge, located in one of the most spectacular and beautiful spots in the entire National Park. Situated on the edge of a precipice and surrounded by the craggy peaks of the group of Llambrión, in front of the spectacular Friero Tower, and with magnificent views of the Valdeón Valley and the Cornión Massif, with Peña Santa standing out. We're still in he Massif Central, And today we're going to the divide between the two massifs. Today we have other spectacular day. We directedWe are on the path of Lace Colladinas towards Tiro Casares, circling the Llambrión group. From the pass, we will ascend to the summit of the Tower of the Dark Hole, at 2,417m, a magnificent viewpoint towards the entire Central Massif and the Cantabrian Mountains to the South. We will descend to the mountain pass to head towards Veronica Cabin Shelter, crossing a veritable sea of limestone, and enjoying the best eggs with chorizo in the Picos de Europa, in a breathtaking setting. After the magnificent meal, we headed towards our main objective of the day, the summit of Old Rock, at 2,613m, which we will reach by climbing the Collado de La Canalona. Impressive 360º views. We will descend via La Vueltona towards the Hoyos de Lloroza and from there we will go to the upper station of the cable car of Source Give, where we can recharge while admiring the spectacular scenery from its viewpoint. From the cable car, we will walk towards The Horcadina of Covarobles, to contemplate the breathtaking karst landscape of the Central Massif, completely different from the one we left behind, with the green of the Cantabrian Mountains. From here, a short descent to the foot of the impressive east face of Peña Vieja and overlooking the Eastern Massif The one we're going to tomorrow will drop us off at the Hotel Áliva, where we will spend our third night.

Today we change massif to enter the Eastern Massif. We begin the route by descending to the Ports of Áliva, a unique glacial landscape with beautiful views towards the two massifs, to reach the Collado de Cámara, gateway to the Channel Lettuce fields, our demanding ascent with an exceptional alpine atmosphere, toward Our goal, the highest peak of Eastern Massif. On our last day, we only have to go down until Sotres, the starting and ending point of our precious adventure, Before we go to Picu Boru, A magnificent viewpoint overlooking Sotres and the Duje Valley, from where we can see both the Central and Eastern Massifs, as well as the Cantabrian Mountains and some Cantabrian beaches, weather permitting. We will descend towards Sotres, pasawalking through a small beech forest and a beautiful viewpoint towards the Duje Valley, before arriving at the village and bring this impressive and unforgettable trek to a close.
